The National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) is one of several organisations which regulates the training and work of electrical enterprises in the UK. The NICEIC is given Government approval to offer Competent Person Schemes to oversee electrical work within the electrical industry.
They maintain a register of qualified, competent electricians, and their aim is to protect everyone who uses electricity from unsafe electrical installations.
NICEIC registered electricians are assessed on a regular basis to ensure that they are competent and capable of meeting the relevant technical and safety standards, codes of practice and rules of the Schemes they are registered to.
